IBM’s Next-Gen Linux Mainframe Provides Top-Notch Security

IBM has recently launched LinuxOne Emperor II, the second generation of mainframe computer system. The new model, which is launched at the annual Open Source Summit in Los Angeles, provides an extraordinary level of security and privacy not seen before in any Linux-based platform before. LinuxOne Emperor II comes with the proprietary Secure Service Container technology, which helps in securing data against external and internal threats. This prevents cyber-security threats from hackers who can easily gain access to the credentials of an insider. It also features a unique I/O architecture, which has up to 64 cores dedicated to I/O processing.
